Global Footprint Network is self-financed, even for its large campaigns. Donations help to keep the basic infrastructure alive: maintaining and hosting the Footprint calculator, keeping the websites functional and informative, supporting researchers around the world, informing the world about the basics of ecological overshoot.  Of course, above all that, we like to do creative new projects, which needs additional funding. The good news is that with our tiny funding, we are having a tremendous reach. The challenge is that because of the large reach, many may think we are well funded, while in reality much of the work is volunteer led and operates on shoestring. This means your donations make a BIG DIFFERENCE. Thank you.

Here are ways how you can support Global Footprint Network:

Right now, the Foundation for a Sustainable Future, is offering a match of donations under 1,500 USD per donor. To take advantage of this, donate here: https://donate.sustainable-future.org/global-footprint-network/. You will get a receipt from that Foundation which you can use for your tax submission in the US to get your corresponding tax deduction.

You can also donate directly to Global Footprint Network by credit card (but then this would not be matched).

If you consider donating more than 1,500 USD, you could donate the first 1,500 USD via the Foundation for a Sustainable Future, so it gets doubled, and then send Global Footprint Network the rest directly, by check (if you are in the US), wire transfer, or credit card.
