We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newly redesigned our website. We believe the new site, with its fresh, modern look, should be easier to navigate and better explains our work. Please check it out at www.footprintnetwork.org and give us your feedback. The website still includes many important features: our popular Footprint Calculator; pages about our work with countries and cities; and our free Public Data Package. We have improved our Educational Resources page and added a new page to better summarize Our Impact.
A special thank you goes to board member Sarosh Kumar for his generous financial support to make the website redesign possible.
The new website was designed by Julie Savasky, an associate partner at Pentagram Austin, and built by Storyware in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Building a new platform to better showcase our work and accomplish our mission was a large undertaking. We also want to thank our interns, Paulina Saracco and Kylie Carera, for their amazing work in helping the website come alive.
Our work is not done, however. Our next step will be to create multilingual versions of the new website to serve our audiences around the world.
The new website kicks off a very exciting year for us. We are looking forward to the launch of our new open data platform, called the Ecological Footprint Explorer, later this spring and preparing for our most successful Earth Overshoot Day ever. We are intensifying our efforts to raise money for a mobile-friendly version of our Footprint calculator, which is already used by 2 million people a year around the world. And we are thrilled to welcome Judy Sissener as Development Manager to coordinate all of our fundraising efforts.
To support these efforts, please consider making a donation or contacting us at media@footprintnetwork.org about ways you can help.
