The Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship is awarded by the Skoll Foundation every year to a group of social entrepreneurs whose achievements have already had significant impact on the world’s most pressing problems. the foundation chooses nominees that focus on the following issues: Education, Enviornmental Sustainability, Economic Opportunity, Peace and Human Rights, and Sustainable Markets. The award helps entrepreneurs unleash their potential to continue to impact they have on the world. Global Footprint Network was awarded this prize in 2007 concerning issue areas of enviornmental sustainability, living conditions, and water management.
